How to merge PDF files safely (without uploading them)

When merging makes sense

Merging is useful for application packs, invoices for a month, or a report assembled from several sources. Merge only files you are allowed to share, and remember that a merged PDF keeps every page of every file.

Steps with the Lekando tool

• Open Office → Merge PDF.
• Add the files; the list shows the number of pages in each.
• Use the arrows to set the order.
• Name the output file and download it.

Common problems

• Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged until the owner removes the protection.
• Interactive form fields and some links may not carry over.
• Very large scanned files produce a large result; reduce the scan resolution first.

Check the result

Open the merged file and check the page count and order before sending it. If the document was digitally signed, merging creates a new file and the original signature no longer applies to it.
